Candidates

Ideal candidates for brow lift surgery are in good health and have realistic expectations about their results. Patients with heavy, hanging brows or deep forehead creases are likely candidates. Patients with hooded or drooping eyelids may consider combining an eyelid lift with their brow lift. Procedure

Brow lift surgery is performed as an outpatient procedure using general anesthesia or IV sedation. The surgery typically lasts between one and three hours depending on the extent of correction required to achieve your ideal results. The goal of brow lift surgery is to reposition the muscles and skin of the forehead, creating a firmer, smoother appearance. Dr. Graham may use one of two techniques to perform your brow lift. Endoscopic Brow Lift

Dr. Graham is a pioneer in the development of endoscopic brow lift techniques and was the first surgeon in New Orleans to perform the procedure using minimal incisions. An endoscopic technique places several small incisions in the hairline. An endoscope is used to elevate the eyebrows to a more youthful position. Repositioning the brows helps relieve tension, softening deep creases along the forehead. 

Pretrichial Forehead Lift

This technique also uses discreetly placed incisions along the hairline across the forehead. This technique is used in patients with an overly high hairline and can be utilized to lower the hairline while raising the eyebrows.

Recovery

You will experience bruising and swelling following your procedure. You should rest with your head elevated for a few days following your procedure. You should be able to apply makeup after one week. Patients can return to work within seven days of their procedure and can resume most regular activities after two or three weeks. Major swelling should subside within six weeks.

Most patients are able to erase years from their appearance with this procedure.
